The
next morning finds us bathing in the blue-green limpid waters
of the KOKINO LIMANAKI sea and
then we take our breakfast underneath the big pine trees of
the camping.
Now we are ready to jaunt to Athens center and
visit Acropolis, the national museum and the museum of Cycladik
art. Afterwards, we will walk about in the traditional Plaka
area and Syntagma square.
It’s getting late in the afternoon and
we are coming back to the camping, where some of us are going
for a quick swim to the sea while the rest of us are satisfying
our thirst with a cold beer or soda at the camping bar. This
place is literally hanging from the rocks over the sea and
gives us the feeling of traveling on a cruise boat on the
Aegean Sea.
The night fell slowly and before we knew it
the big blue hands us over to a thousand small lights of Athens
and Rafina.
We cannot resist the delicious smells of Greek cuisine and
consequently we move to the restaurant. Greek ouzo and greek
meze over the sea is all we needed to end this magical day.
And although we have a full day tomorrow none
of us seems to want to go to bed. It’s like someone
created this lovely scenery to put us under the “night
spell” of Athens.
The time goes by and it’s getting rather
late, so we decide to go to sleep. Tomorrow we have another
big day, since Sounio and Posidon’s temple are waiting…
We wake up and we find the sun smiling at us.
We smile back and hit the road. We are all very enthousiastic
about this new, day and we decided that after today’s
trip we will go back to the campsite, to enjoy the friendly
atmosphere, the tasty food, the lovely music and the phantastic
views.
As the night falls down we are all feeling very happy an sad
at the same time. Unfortunately tomorrow we have to go to
visit more places to the rest of Greece.
Hopefully it will be every bit as beautiful as it was here…
luckilly the smiling girl at the reception desk reassures
us that it will be!!! ..."
